(SOLAHOT), a family-owned and run business, was put in motion in the late 1980’s when it became incorporated to provide solar products on the island of St. Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles. SOLAHOT sells SOLAHART solar powered hot water heating units to hotels, restaurants, guest houses, and households on the island of St. Maarten/Saint Martin and throughout the Caribbean.  With our SOLAHART hot water heating units, customers can have hot water ‘free from the sun’ all year round!  For those few days of the year when there’s insufficient solar energy, a highly efficient electric booster automatically maintains hot water temperature.

SOLAHOT stocks 2 types of thermosiphon Solahart units, the 181L (180 liter) & the 302L (300 liter). SOLAHOT offers FREE estimates which are customized to your business or residential needs based off your hot water requirements.

SOLAHOT has plans to expand throughout the Caribbean. We provide product expertise with dealership support, offering maintenance contracts, and superior customer service. Many of our customers earn a return on their investment within two years of purchase.

Who is SOLAHOT?    

SOLAHOT was owned and managed by Ian Thring in St. Maarten for almost 30 years until his unexpected passing in 2014. Since then, his daughter, Kelly Van Klaveren, and son-in-law, Bep Van Klaveren have been operating the business. It is their goal and commitment to continue to provide exceptional service to existing customers and to expand the SOLAHOT business throughout the Caribbean.
